SUMMARY
Many have asked if our church offers an electronic, or automated, option for giving. Now we do! Easy and simple for you, Electronic Giving allows your contributions to be transferred electronically from your checking or savings account or your debit card directly to the church account. We will also offer this for events to make payments in the same way. While away on vacation, you have peace of mind knowing that your tithes and offerings have been received and are contributing to the work of RCC, especially during those otherwise low cash flow months of the year!
One simple, easy to use authorization form can begin or change your electronic contribution amount. An even easier way to sign up and make changes anytime and anywhere is through our secure website (links below). The authorization form and "Electronic Giving Overview" are both available at the Connection Center.

TO START GIVING ONLINE,
follow these two simple steps...
Step 1: Your Personal Information
In order to establish your account, we need to gather some basic information. Feel free to take a moment and review information concerning our site security and privacy.
Step 2: Your Gift
Here you will determine the amount and frequency of your gift. You will be asked to specify whether your gift is intended for the General Fund, or Some Other Fund. You will then be asked to enter your checking, savings, or credit card account information.

TO CHANGE YOUR ONLINE GIVING ACCOUNT
If you registered and created your own account, you can manage all your information by logging into your account and making the changes you need. You may:
- Set up personalized giving schedules
- Make one-time donations
- Change the dollar amount on an existing donation plan
- Change the account used to make donations
- Change the frequency of donations
- View and print a personal contribution history
If you do not have an online account:
Step 1: Cancel your current giving record
To change the amount and/or frequency of your ongoing gift, we must cancel the current transaction and set up a new transaction. To cancel, click here to email us. In your email, please indicate the date in which you want the cancellation to be effective.
Step 2: Receive notification of cancellation
The financial assistant will then cancel your transaction in our online giving system and send you back a confirmation email when the transaction has been cancelled.
Step 3: Setup new Online Giving Transaction.
Setup a new record on the Online Giving Home page. Follow the instructions on each page. You will be able to indicate the date in which you want your new transaction amount to start.

FAQs
Q What is online giving?
Online giving is a program whereby your donation is debited automatically from your checking, savings, or credit card account.
Q Who should give online?
Anyone who is looking for a simpler way to consistently give. Anyone who would like to give to the ministries of Riverside Community Church either one time or on a recurring basis.
Q Is online giving secure?
Yes it is! See our section about security.
Q When are gifts processed?
You are able to choose the date your gifts are to be processed either online via our website, or on the authorization form.
Q If I do not write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance right?
Since your contribution is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date.
Q Without a canceled check, how can I prove I made my donation?
Your bank or credit card statement gives you an itemized list on electronic debits. It is your proof of donation. Riverside Community Church will also provide a statement at calendar year end for tax purposes.
Q What if I'm not a partner of Riverside Community Church, but I want to make a donation? How would I be able to get a statement for tax purposes?
We are happy to receive your gift. Online giving is a perfect way for you to give. All givers receive a contribution statement regardless of partnership status, assuming we have all of their correct address information.
Q Will my online gifts be included on my Statement of Contributions?
Yes, they will be included.
Q How can I get a receipt of my online gift?
If you include an email address when signing up, you will receive a confirmation email once you have completed your donation transaction You will also find it listed on your annual contribution statement.
Q How much does online giving cost?
It costs you nothing and saves you time.
Q What if I try it and don’t like it? Can I make changes?
You can make changes or cancel your online giving at any time by notifying the church.

SECURITY/PRIVACY
Security
For your protection, we have taken a number of steps to maximize the security of financial transactions that are accepted on the church website. Credit card and bank account processing is accomplished using secure processing services.
Electronic donations are less risky than check writing. They cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed, and have an extremely high rate of accuracy.
Privacy
The online giving registration form requires you to give us contact information (like your name and e-mail address), and demographic information. Riverside Community Church will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. This information is stored in your file in a secure environment separate from our website.
