| LIVING LIFE TOGETHER @ R.C.C.
We offer a wide variety of small groups that give you an opportunity to develop deep, lasting relationships in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are Bible study, special interest, recovery and support groups for men, women, seniors, couples, singles, students and children. Within the context of these relationships we pray for one another and do what we can to meet each others needs and reach out to others.
The next Small Group Leadership Orientation is scheduled for Saturday, December 4 @ 9:00 AM at the Student Life Center. If you are interested in becoming a small group leader please contact Pastor David Kennard at kennard@riversideconnect.org for more information and to receive a Leadership Application Packet.

BIBLE
What The Bible Says About The Holy Spirit (The Overlooked Third Person Of The Trinity)
Gary Evans (412-744-4323)
In this study we will look at the Holy Spirit’s role in the Old Testament as well as in the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus and the first followers. Further, we’ll seek to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit’s direction in our lives. In the name of the Father, the Son, and ... the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? Come and experience the “Helper” we are offered to be true and living witnesses for Christ.

BOOK STUDIES
Crazy Love
Mark & Sandy Bowman (412-798-2991)
God is love. Crazy, relentless, all-powerful love. Have you ever wondered if we’re missing it? It’s crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe—the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor—loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. Whether you’ve verbalized it yet or not ... we all know something’s wrong. Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn’t working harder at a list of do’s and don’ts—it is falling in love with God. Come and join us as we encounter His love; we’ll never be the same.

Nooma
Bill Ellis (412-828-2488)
Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged His listeners to search, to question, and to wrestle with the implications of what He was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God’s work in this world. Wherever He went, whatever He did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. This video series from Rob Bell will explore our world from the perspective of Jesus and is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.

This study will help those who are worn out, burned out, or stressed out. The goal is to lead us into the presence of God—in the midst of our “frazzledness.” By doing so, we will gradually pull back from confusion and doubt, from fear and self, and allow God’s Spirit to have His way in our lives. Our gatherings will consist of a refreshing walk and a devotional time. Walking is a great way to relieve tension, and through this study we will learn more about ourselves and discover practical ways to confront issues that often leave us discouraged and stressed.
